Six Weeks to Fitness 2022 (New You).png

Welcome to our "A New You For the New Year", Six Weeks to Fitness Classes sponsored by Body Sculpt of New York, Inc., the United Federation of Teachers and Six Weeks to Fitness Podcast. Each week we will bring you two exercise classes along with a Healthy Eating Class by one of our Holistic Nutritionists. The exercise classes will include Zumba, Body Toning, Yoga and more, taught by Carmen Carriker, one of New York City's top fitness instructors from the Alvin Ailey School of Dance. The exercise classes will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and the healthy eating classes will occur on Saturdays, 30 minutes before the exercise class (see schedule below).

Did you know that the top New Year's resolution is to either exercise more or to lose weight? Sadly, only 8% keep their resolutions. This is why Body Sculpt of New York and the UFT are teaming up to provide you with expertise, motivation and guidance for six weeks with the intent that this year, with our help, will be different.

This is a free, virtual program that is guaranteed to help you succeed with your weight loss and healthy living goals. You will also have access to the President of Body Sculpt of New York, Vince Ferguson with his over 25 years of fitness experience. Vince will answer your fitness questions and provide exercise tips and motivation for the entire six weeks.

Cooking healthy is preparing real food in a way that promotes internal and external health. Cooking healthy doesn’t need to be difficult, complicated, time-consuming, or confusing. In fact, it never EVER should be. You have too much other stuff on your plate (no pun intended) to worry about. The what, how, and why of cooking doesn’t need to be one of them. Cooking healthy should be an enjoyable experience, not a stressful one.

Join us on Saturday, October 30th from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as we livestream on our Six Weeks to Fitness Youtube channel and on Zoom.  You will learn how simple and easy it is to cook healthy.

CHEF ISRA GORDON

Chef Isra Gordon was born and raised on the island of Grenada and is a graduate of the New York Restaurant School Culinary Program.  Chef Isra is a holistic and metabolic health coach, with over thirty years of training and research in the culinary industry.  Her passion is living a lifestyle where health and wellness thrive.

Chef Isra’s personal recipes have been featured in cookbooks and magazines, such as “One Sweet Cookie” and “Kuji Magazine”.  Chef Isra has extensive experience catering to those with dietary restrictions and preferences, such as raw foodists, vegetarians, pescetarians, and others.
