Vincent Ferguson is a certified personal trainer and author of "Six Weeks To A Six Pack" and his most recent book “Get Ready! Get Set! Get Fit!” (A Guide To Developing Youth Fitness). Mr. Ferguson has, for the past 20 years made fitness a part of his life. His love for fitness began in the United States Navy, where he studied the martial arts and kickboxing. Immediately upon being discharged from the Navy he started bodybuilding. As a bodybuilder, he entered various competitions throughout the New York tri-state area.
Mr. Ferguson realized that bodybuilding, martial arts and the military all had something in common -- discipline. He felt that if his involvement in physical fitness can have such a positive effect on his body, mind and overall well-being, then it would have similar effects on others. Mr. Ferguson then founded and became the president of Body Sculpt of New York, Inc., a not-for-profit physical fitness/drug prevention organization for youth. The organization consists of men and women who travel throughout the New York Tri-state area performing acting skits on stage. This was Mr. Ferguson's way of spreading his "sound mind/sound body" principles to the children.
Mr. Ferguson is also the president and founder of the Children's Choice Awards, an annual awards program which allowed over 300,000 children, through a balloting process, to vote for their positive role models in sports, fashion, music, film, education, politics and television.
